About NSDR

My name is Missy Lapic and I’ve worked in dentistry since 1997. I worked as an assistant for many years and then became office manager after I graduated from Lake Erie College with a BA in Education. Over the years I started seeing things in our office that could be improved upon, like broken appointments, staffing issues, and communications.

Luckily, I work for a doctor who embraces ideas and empowers me to test out new systems. Over time, those new systems have given us the results we’re looking for. Our office runs like a well-oiled machine and we are becoming more profitable with each year.

My aspirations do NOT include lecturing to thousands of dental professionals across the country. I have decided on a different approach. I know first hand how difficult (and expensive!) it can be to travel with an office to attend courses. I’m still plugging away in my office everyday and it pains me to be away from there for a minute-and I’m sure you feel the same about being away from your own practice.

My business model is to create online videos and guides that will give you all of the information possible to learn and implement new systems THAT WORK in your practice all from the comfort of your home or office.

So what can I offer to you?

Well, one of my favorite dental office topics is reducing missed appointments. I’m passionate about this! I used to think that we just had to accept those missed appointments because that was part of running a dental office. Years ago, you could not have convinced me that it was possible to reduce or even eliminate the problem. Turns out-I was wrong! (I can admit that!)

I figured out that in order to reduce missed appointments, a few specific systems have to be put in place. Lucky for you, I took the systems that were proven to work in my office, and put them together in neat little packages on this website. Some of them are still a work in progress, so please bear with me for a bit. No worries though, they will be completed soon!

  • Let your new patients know how serious you are about your time with them via my New Patient Reservation System. Not only will they show up for their very first visit with your office, but they will also respect all FUTURE reservations with your office as well.
  • Present financial arrangements to patients before starting treatment. Once you determine the financial aspect of treatment and collect payment beforehand, a beautiful thing happens. They will show up for future visits because they are already paid for! Patients end up not owing you money and they will LOVE you for it!
  • Collect a deposit for patients who are ready to schedule but who may not be prepared to pay in full. This system will let you know who is SERIOUS about returning to your office for treatment.
